Dear Customers and Partners,
Thank you for reading this latest issue of the LEROY AUTOMATION newsletter. We hope that you find this a pleasant and enjoyable read.
LEROY AUTOMATION goes "Green"
LEROY AUTOMATION adopts an Eco-Design policy towards its new commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) automation products for the railway market.

This first step will enable LEROY AUTOMATION to progress towards the implementation of a complete Environmental Management System (EMS).

"Such a "Green" process implementation is a new way of thinking. From the early design stages to the manufacturing processes of our products, we should contribute to reduce our environmental footprint. This is our challenge to get ready for tomorrow's industry!", said Mr Alain Wojtaszak, Managing Director of LEROY AUTOMATION.

The RIOM powers the EP20 dual-voltage electric passenger locomotives
The EP20 locomotives are in circulation on the Moscow - Sochi line, and they will transport thousands of travellers to the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The RIOM hardware modules have been successfully deployed on-board the EP20 locomotives.

Integrated in the whole TCMS architecture as remote input/output modules, 3 RIOM platforms are deployed in each EP20 locomotive. The RIOM is a vital equipement in the locomotives, and each carries out control and real-time I/O diagnostics.

The main features of LEROY AUTOMATION's EN 50155-certified RIOM modules are:
  • - Programmable PLC,
  • - Up to 64 digital inputs,
  • - Up to 32 relay outputs,
  • - Compliant with TCN networks: RS-485, MVB, LON, and Ethernet.
  • - Support for extended temperatures.
