LEROY Automation manufactured the LT160 modular Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for more than 25 years, and we are now facing major obsolescence issues on our microprocessor-based CPU modules, known as LUC33xx (RS-232/RS-485-based modules) and LUC35xx (Ethernet-based modules).

The LT200 modular PLC platform is available in the following form factors :
Automate LT160 et des modules LUC33xx / LUC35xx.
Nevertheless, all LT-based digital and analogue input and output (I/O) modules as well as power-supply modules are still continued and compliant with the current generation of LT200 modular PLC.
In order to overcome this obsolescence and product discontinuity issues, and to maintain your LT-based installation running for the next decades, we strongly advise you to implement a preventive maintenance plan with the modernisation of your LT160-based installations. It is possible to replace all LUC33xx and LUC35xx CPU modules with the LT200 microprocessor-based modules such as : LUC40xx and LUC50xx.
The LT160 platform :
The LT160 platform was either a configurable solution based on OPAL software configuration tools (application files .opa) and programmable using IEC 61131-3 ISAGRAF industrial software development technology (application files .pia). Migrating from LT160 to LT200 imposes to port the exiting industrial automation application processes to the latest PLCopen solution : IEC 61131-3 STRATON PLC industrial software for process automation.
LEROY Automation can accompany its partners and customers with technical engineering services to help to migrate from LT160 to LT200 CPU technology. Our dedicated application engineers can assist you to study your existing applications (.pia and .opa), and to formalize a complete system and application functional analysis, as well as software application migration into the STRATON PLC environment. Our skilled industrial automation engineering team can help to develop process control applications, to debug, optimize, test and validate your applications. Complete validated projects can then be delivered with full documentation and software application storage on version control system such as GIT and/or SVN. Alternatively, we can also provide technical training and knowledge transfer to allow you to implement the same in a timely manner in full autonomy.
