Vehicle Control Units

Leroy Automation offers programmable computers in accordance with the EN50155 / IEC 60571 standard to perform the control functions of a TCMS.

They are based on the generic platform “RIOM”.

The RIOM can be operated as:

  • a central computer (VCU )
  • a communication gateway between fieldbuses and the Ethernet network
  • a local automation system to control subsystems (HVAC, doors, braking, power-packs, fire safety, …)

The RIOM is designed to be able to be integrated into SIL2 architectures.

More than 50000 products are installed to date.

INPUTS/OUTPUTS features

A RIOM can accept 1 or 2 I/O logical boards.

Each board contains : 

  • 32 digital inputs
  • 8 relay outputs : 1 contact (NO)
  • 8 relay outputs : 2  contacts (NO/NC) 
  • 4 analog inputs or outputs : Choice of Voltage or Current by wiring
