LEROY AUTOMATION has provided railway automation solutions to ONCF (Moroccan National Railway Office) through the supply of event recorders based on LT PLC for multiple stations. These include Sidi Yahya, Tangier Morora, Settat, Youssoufia, Sidi Daoui, Marrakech, and Sidi Ghanem.
The railway automation solution enhances the management and monitoring of various aspects of the railway referral system at these stations. Key functionalities include the recording of state changes in the railway referral system and cantons, handling of station announcements, reissues, passage/blocking pedal statuses, station HS/ES conditions, control unit statuses, switchgear control status, and signal status.
Each PLC controller is interfaced with up to 96 inputs, with the possibility of expanding to 256, and is programmed using the IEC 61131-3 compliant PLC language. The development of the solution was done using the STRATON development tool, ensuring top-tier performance and flexibility.
This comprehensive railway automation solution project was successfully integrated and installed with the support of local Moroccan partners: Lexis Engineering Systems and Lumières et Technologies.
By implementing these railway automation solutions to ONCF, the Moroccan National Railway Office can now ensure more efficient and reliable operations across their railway stations, significantly improving safety and system management.
