Launch of the EVR1000C Event Recorder and the PCEESYS001 Energy Exchange Controller:
Two Key Innovations for an Integrated and Consolidated Railway Offering
AGÔN Electronics announces a major strategic milestone in its ongoing consolidation of the railway sector with the official launch of AGÔN Railway, its dedicated division for onboard electronic technologies and railway signalling.
This strong announcement comes with two major innovations:
the EVR1000C, a new-generation compact event recorder, and
the PCEESYS001 – CEE (Energy Exchange Controller), an intelligent embedded solution ensuring power continuity onboard modern trains.
A European Consolidation Strategy
By uniting the recognised expertise of LEROY Automation (France) and MIOS Elettronica (Italy), AGÔN Railway has become a unique centre of excellence in electronic safety, ETCS signalling, and certified I/O systems up to SIL2.
This synergy enables the AGÔN Electronics Group to offer a comprehensive, integrated, and certifiable portfolio — from embedded modules to signalling systems — including maintenance and product lifecycle management.
AGÔN Railway réinvente l’Électronique Ferroviaire !
Innovation #1: EVR1000C – The Next-Generation Compact Event Recorder
Unveiled as a world premiere at Expo Ferroviaria 2025 in Milan, the EVR1000C sets a new benchmark in railway event recording.
Specifically designed for heavy locomotives, special-purpose vehicles, and railway maintenance units, this event recorder combines ruggedness, compliance, and embedded intelligence.
Key Features:
Crash-Protected Memory ensuring data preservation even under severe impact conditions;
Multi-source acquisition: records TCMS, ETCS, and critical event data;
Compact design & simplified integration, compatible with existing architectures;
PTU4EVR software for analysis, CSV export, and intuitive graphical event visualisation.
Fully compliant with EN/IEC 62625-1, EN 50155, and TSI CCS/LOC&PAS standards, the EVR1000C redefines the compact event recorder standard for the new generation of smart trains.
Innovation #2: PCEESYS001 – CEE, the Energy Exchange Controller
The PCEESYS001, also referred to as CEE (Energy Exchange Controller), represents a major technological advancement in the embedded management of electrical power onboard rolling stock.
Designed as a programmable automation controller using the standard IEC 61131-3 language, this autonomous equipment operates as an onboard railway controller within modern trains, supporting the energy exchange function, particularly for M7 vehicles and derivatives.
Engineered for performance and reliability:
EN 50155 / IEC 60571 certified for harsh railway environments;
IEC 61131-3 programmable platform, allowing flexible integration into TCMS systems and traction subsystems;
Automatic energy exchange function: maintains the supply of medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) loads from two adjacent, fully functional cars to a faulty one.
Main Applications:
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) – MV line
Common loads – MV line
24Vdc loads – LV line
Through this architecture, the CEE ensures energy continuity and auxiliary system availability, guaranteeing maximum train reliability even in partial failure conditions.
Integrated Solutions from I/O to Signalling
Beyond products, AGÔN Railway offers a comprehensive range of certified electronic solutions up to SIL2, covering control-command, distributed I/O management, and ETCS signalling.
This end-to-end approach ensures full interoperability, simplified maintenance, and optimised system lifecycle management.
A European Vision, a Global Impact
Firmly rooted in France and Italy, AGÔN Railway now extends its influence worldwide, supporting major rail modernisation, digitalisation, and safety programmes.
This consolidation positions AGÔN as a key player in European technological sovereignty, combining innovation, quality, and sustainability.
AGÔN Railway: Innovation in Motion
With the EVR1000C and PCEESYS001, AGÔN Railway reaffirms its mission: to provide the railway industry with intelligent, reliable, and integrated solutions that meet the challenges of sustainable and connected mobility.
